There was much to celebrate at our organisation’s General Assembly. REAC’s second year can be summed up as one of spectacular growth: we have reached 69 members.
Last year, at the Red de Empresas de Auxilio en Carretera (REAC), we took advantage of our close collaboration with FIRECA, the International Road Rescue Fair, to hold our General Assembly there, at the first edition of this fair, which took place at Fibes (Seville). Although it proved to be a highly positive experience, in 2019 we wanted to do something different. In February this year we celebrated two years of existence, during which the number of members has more than doubled compared with the companies that originally formed the network, a total of 25 across Spain. This deserved a gathering of its own, not so much as part of an event, but in a more “intimate” setting, so to speak.
The venue chosen served, on Tuesday 9 April, as a common meeting point for a network spread across the whole peninsula (including the archipelagos). The Hotel Nuevo Boston, in Madrid, hosted our third General Assembly. An event we can be proud of, given the huge turnout: as many as 64 of the 69 companies that make up the network, in other words, almost the entire network, travelled to the capital.
And this is something we are delighted about. Because, as well as growing in numbers, it is also about those of us who are part of this big family being active within the sector, and of course within the Red de Empresas de Auxilio en Carretera.

Accountability
Over the course of the day, the aim was to present the annual accounts and review 2018, but also to give members a brief overview of the projects and activities we are involved in. The companies attending were able to learn first-hand the results of the recent survey in which they had taken part and which, broadly speaking, has given us very positive feedback on our work and management.
Taking advantage of the physical presence of most of the members, we organised a group activity to involve the professionals present, who had a great time. Just like us!
