The free app, developed by Lambda Automotive, is available on Google Play. It lets each user know who the assistant providing the service is and track it.
Digitalisation never stops, and in this respect the Red de Empresas de Auxilio en Carretera (REAC) aims to keep moving forward so that roadside assistance becomes ever faster, more effective and safer. And digitalised. Our mobile phones are a tool that helps REAC members save time, fine-tuning geolocation and optimising the service.
REAC asked Lambda Automotive, a company specialising in technology solutions for assistance companies, to develop this app. The idea was, and is, for customers to feel completely safe at all times.
The REAC app is available to any user on Google Play; it is free and can be downloaded to your mobile phone. So how does it work?
- When someone downloads it, they register and request an assistance service.
- They must specify what service it is: transfer of a heavy vehicle to a garage, accident or incident, rescue, and so on.
- The REAC member within the service's area of operation receives the alert through EFI Asistencia, the app developed by Lambda Automotive for this type of service.
- Once the alert is received, the member contacts the user (customer) to provide a price for the service
- The user can track the tow truck and contact the roadside assistance operator in charge of the service.
Other details of the app
It is REAC, from its own dashboard, that sets the area of operation, not the app. Nor does the app price the service, as this will depend on each member's rates. Coverage is comprehensive, for both light and industrial vehicles: cars, motorcycles, pick-ups, vans, and so on. And location is carried out in real time, wherever the customer may be.
In addition, users have the guarantee of REAC, the network that brings together roadside assistance companies in Spain. The experience and professionalism of its members is a fact. Furthermore, it is a technology solution developed by a company such as Lambda Automotive, with a decade of experience and highly specialised in the roadside assistance sector.
