Communication is key for REAC, as it allows us to make our work better known. Even more so in the digital society we live in. We want to present a new window.
The roadside assistance sector is largely unknown to those who do not work in it. The relationship with someone who needs our services is rather unusual and fleeting; these are special circumstances in which the user of a tow-truck service may find themselves in a stressful situation which, above all, they need to resolve as soon as possible.
How, then, can we explain what our day-to-day life in the network is like? The legislation that affects our work, the training we currently provide, the initiatives we carry out as a national association. The results of years of work.
At REAC we work hard on communication through our website (in the News section, that is, here) and on our Facebook and LinkedIn social profiles. We also produce an annual newsletter with the milestones of the year.
A channel for roadside assistance professionals
The idea behind Canal REAC was, and is, to have an audiovisual channel in which to show our target audience the reality of the sector. And to do so through educational videos, but also through interviews with members and coverage of events such as Fireca. The professional tow-truck service, the operator of a car transporter, deserves a space where professionals, companies, related businesses and institutions can see their work, their challenges and their knowledge reflected.
One of the most endearing pieces, one of the first we uploaded to the channel, was the interview that REAC's Communication team conducted with the founder of Grúas Villalobos (now Viacar), Juan Villalobos, who recalled his tough beginnings in a sector that, fifty years ago, was in its infancy in our country.
We encourage all of you, members and roadside assistance professionals, to visit the channel. And, of course, to share its content!
