TRAINING FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE COMPANIES
The Red de Empresas de Asistencia en Carretera REAC offers training to the companies that belong to the group. REAC provides training for managers and business owners, tow truck operators, mechanic operators, middle managers and call-centre operators who carry out roadside assistance work with their tow trucks every day.

Occupational risk prevention in the company
Legislation on occupational risk prevention is complex in Spain and it is sometimes difficult to comply with the regulations. Responsibility always lies entirely with the employer, even when an external prevention service has been subcontracted. These services provide support and guidance along the way, but they are not enough.
This training is aimed at business owners and managers and explains in detail what their obligations are, as well as the responsibilities of the other parties: workers, prevention services, subcontractors, etc. The training also covers the integration of risk prevention into company management and with the various systems (quality and environment).
Training for tow truck operators
Level 1
Training for novice or newly recruited operators who transport light vehicles not exceeding 3,500 kg and carry out minor on-the-spot interventions for vehicle breakdowns (recorded in the procedures).
Level 2
Specific training for qualified operators with the ability and experience to carry out more complex operations such as recoveries on the same and different levels with negative gradients (non-vertical), and the handling and lifting of loads using a self-loading crane on the same level
Level 3
For highly qualified operators with extensive experience in tasks such as: recoveries on different levels with negative gradients, recovery of light vehicles in a vertical drop using a self-loading crane, recovery of overturned and partially overturned light vehicles, including oversized vehicles at their maximum dimensions, and recovery of vehicles classified under the ADR.
Training for mechanic operators
This training is specifically for transferring flammable liquids from a vehicle's tank, handling them and, finally, managing them as waste. It is training in Safety and the Environment. The mechanic operators who attend this training receive information about their responsibilities and limitations.
Training for middle managers
Middle managers are those who sit between management and technical workers, usually with coordination, management and control duties. For companies, introducing middle managers is essential because it represents a fundamental strategic change, since they know the business and have certain management and organisational skills that help steer the team towards its goal.
Training for call-centre operators
Call-centre operators play an important role in incident management, since they are the ones who receive the reports and must dispatch the service. A good knowledge of the roadside assistance sector is essential. This training explains the main constraints of the sector and its risks, how to assess the impact of their work on the assistance chain, how to carry out work safely and how to establish specific coordination protocols.
The training calendar can be consulted on the website, under the "events" tab, where it is kept up to date (click here).
